Our History • Our Winemaking
Oddfellows’ winemaker, Greg Follett, has a well-deserved reputation as one of South Australia’s leading red wine makers, specifically working with Langhorne Creek fruit.
Greg works closely with Oddfellow, David Knight, who has an intimate and extensive understanding of the Langhorne Creek region. Greg manipulates the hand-selected fruit and ensures the finest oak is introduced to honour Oddfellows’ philosophy to produce small quantities of premium wine.
The practical realities of producing wine in the driest State in the driest Continent in the world calls for innovative yet viable use of one of Australia's most valuable natural resources. Oddfellows take great care in using grapes from vineyards that have refined the use of high efficiency, low consumption irrigation to deliver the best result for the fruit in an ecologically sustainable manner.
Oddfellows Wines has been rewarded for maintaining this approach to their winemaking, with accolades from Parker, Winespectator and Australian wine critics and shows.
