Langhorne Creek 2001
Season Good winter rains resulted in consistent fruit set. The hottest summer recorded in 95 years brought extended hot conditions throughout January. Fortunately Langhorne Creek is blessed with cooling afternoon lake breezes which moderated the extremes experienced by other regions. March and April provided ideal conditions for vintage and most winemakers are comparing 2001 with the premium 1998 vintage.
